Is there really a God? If there is a God, how can I know for sure? How can I find Him? Is He really good? Does He care about me? Why is there so much evil and so many awful things, if God is really there and He is good? Am I really forgiven? How do I get rid of my guilt? Is God punishing me? Should I go to church? Why? Which church or religion is right? What is the truth? Do heaven and hell really exist? Are there such things as angels and demons? What should I believe?
These types of questions can go on and on. Actually, the questions are healthy and necessary if you are going to pursue any kind of spiritual life. Scott Peck in his book "The Road Less Traveled" said, "The path to holiness is questioning everything."
Everybody will have different answers to spiritual questions. The answers have to be based more on faith than facts. But, how do you find truth and clarity? Jeremiah 29:12-13 states: "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,"
Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
There are answers to your questions and clarity to your confusion. You must desire it and seek Him with all your heart.
